2026 Winter Read-A-Thon

 

Weren't able to make it to our Merrickville reading retreats? Have no fear we are excited to say the next event is just around the corner and will be hosted the weekend of March 20th 22nd in Ottawa! 

We are making this gathering open to as many as book lovers as possible! Want to be there from start to finish? - you got it! Can only join for a portion of the Read-A-Thon? Sure thing! Want to be able to pop in and out throughout the day? We can make that happen!


The event starts at 6PM on Friday, March 20th and we shall say our goodbyes Sunday, March 22nd around 9am! You will have the option to claim a full event spot or a partial event spot;

  • Full Event Ticket; You are joining us for the long haul! We have 9 spots available for those you plan to stay over and read through the night or weekend with us! This will include late night pizza on Saturday, snacks, coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar!
  • Partial Event Ticket; You can only attend for part of the event or pop in to join for a few hours of uninterrupted reading time over the weekend, you will still have access to the snack and coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar while there!
  • We have designed this retreat to be a safe place for all and are at your disposal if you have any questions, concerns or, wish to share any other important information. We want to make this stay as comfortable for you as possible. 
This year we are excited to be supporting the Ottawa Humane Society through this event and will be donating a portion of proceeds to this great cause. We are also running a food/toy drive for the Ottawa Humane Society and if you are able to bring a toy, treats, pet supplies to be donated we would love to make a difference for all our furry friends awaiting their forever homes. Plus we will have a special prize for the reader who brings the biggest/best contribution to the food/toy/supply drive - check out the Ottawa Humane Society website here for a list of what items they are in need of.

To register please email us (northwindreads@gmail.com) the completed registration, Terms and Conditions documents, as well as your confirmation number to confirm your spot! Please note, an invoice will be sent to you. Your spot will be saved but not considered confirmed until all the pieces above have been received.
